第2434期：孟德斯鸠没说过世界有“十大罪恶”
孟德斯鸠“毁灭人类的十种罪恶”是中文网流行一个说法，指的是：
没有人性的政治（Politics without humanity）
没有思想的崇拜（Worship without thought）
没有人文的科学（Science without humanity）
没有良知的财富（Wealth without conscience）
没有道德的享乐（Pleasure without morality）
没有牺牲的信仰（Faith without sacrifice）
没有原则的工作（Work without principles）
没有人性的商业（Business without humanity）
没有责任的权利（Rights without responsibility）
没有劳动的知识（Knowledge without labor）
听起来很过瘾，但可惜这又是一个时下盛行的“伪托名言”（misattributed quote）现象——孟德斯鸠没有总结过这十种罪恶，这个“十恶”说法也被归到甘地、蒙田等人头上过。
类似的伪托名言还有很多，社媒时代格外活跃。下面这些你听说过几个？
“Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world.” 或 “the most powerful force in the universe.” 常误归于 Albert Einstein，说什么爱因斯坦说复利是人类第x大奇迹，典型的“导游词句型”。
“Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.” 常误归于 John Lennon（约翰·列侬）。 实际出自Allen Saunders 1957年的报纸漫画，后来被误传。列侬的歌词有类似表达，但不是原句。
“Never make someone a priority when all you are to them is an option.” 常误归于 Maya Angelou（玛雅·安杰洛）。 实际来源不明或现代网络原创，常出现在情感鸡汤帖中。
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” 常误归于 Mahatma Gandhi（甘地）。 甘地从未说过这句话。真实类似表述是： “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change.” 简化版在励志帖子里超级流行。
空虚时代，口号还魂，人们需要指引，就有人穿凿附会，掐头去尾人造鸡汤。真正有毒的是伪食材预制的伪鸡汤。
